The Connect: Programming
Each year, we will virtually bring together industry professionals, post secondary representatives and students to discuss the current state of the industry, ask questions and explore future possibilities.
Financial and equipment support awarded annually to metro Atlanta area youth who meet criteria and demonstrate a desire to pursue a future career in entertainment.
Everyone has a story to tell and The Connect would like to provide a platform for metro Atlanta area youth to do just that! The film showcase will feature jury selected submissions of various formats with feedback and awards available.
Being near the Hollywood of the South has benefits! There are numerous studios and craft houses in the metro area, but most are closed to the general public. Utilizing insider resources, The Connect can arrange these, often life changing, experiences.
Bringing together educators, industry professionals and youth for in person events to build relationships for present and future needs.
In person and virtual experiences tailored towards varied learning styles that educate in Production Assistant know-how, skilled crafts (camera, sound, wardrobe, makeup/hair, locations, set design etc.) and creative opportunities (producing, directing, writing and post production) within the industry. After participating in workshops, youth will have the opportunity to apply for job shadowing opportunities (some with stipends) within film/TV production in the metro Atlanta area.
