Hey there,
I’m Zoie B. Lynch, and I’m thrilled to share a bit about my journey with you. Over the past 20 years, I’ve pursued my passions in education and entertainment. As an educator, I wore many hats—ELA teacher for general and special education, Career & Technical Education teacher, Department Chair, SST/504 Chair, Assistant Administrator, Magnet Coordinator, and School Choice Specialist. These roles in Fulton, Atlanta, and Clayton school districts helped me build a diverse skill set and prepared me for the next chapter in my career.
When I transitioned from formal education to follow my dreams in film and TV, it was an incredible adventure. I've been fortunate to work on amazing shows like The Wonder Years Season 1 (ABC), Raising Dion Season 2 (Netflix), and Being Mary Jane Season 1 (BET). My writing on the web series Mommy Uncensored even led to an episode order from the Aspire Network. One of my short films, Daddy Issues, was showcased at both BHERC’s Short Film Showcase in Los Angeles and the Queer Black Film Festival in Atlanta in 2022. Another project, my short film script By His Wounds, was selected as a finalist for the 2024 Essence Film Festival.
But, without a doubt, my greatest achievements are raising my four incredible children, two of whom are now Production Assistants. There’s nothing more rewarding than running into former students who were once told “they couldn’t” but, with a little guidance, exposure, and faith, proved they absolutely could.
I’m so excited to continue this journey and to share it with all of you. Let's keep pushing boundaries and proving what’s possible, together.
Warmly,
Zoie B. Lynch
